One of the great lessons I learned after a foolish adolescence was knowing when to stop (Just maybe that sixth pint was a little much). Unfortunately, nobody in the US government learned the important life lessons of moderation and will take us with them.

I know I am obnoxious about this, but our foolishness is why we need to cut it out, come home and pursue a neutralist foreign policy.

Unlike the real world government employees are exempt from prosecution. So there is no penalty for failure.

Govt employees get prosecuted all the time. Objectively false.

Yeah, doesn’t have to isolationist. Just needs to be smarter, more neutral, and more focused on achieving specific results that don’t involve us picking fights with countries that we don’t have a real reason to fight.

"Isolationist" is the modern word for anyone who prefers constructive engagement with other nations instead of threatening them.

That’s polite…what I find is that I’m called MAGA, a useful idiot, or a Russian propagandist…it can’t simply be that I’m for diplomacy and peace. Or that the U.S. is wrong. America has gone mad.

You forgot "far right extremist major with a minor in domestic terrorism."

Usually they just call me Natasha and then pat themselves on the back for their pithy wit. 🙄

Neutralism is not isolationism.

Expand full comment

The neoliberal and neoconservative braintrust would insist on calling it isolationist, since their limited intellects can’t grasp the idea of a foreign policy that’s not idiotically counterproductive

Expand full comment

Isolationism is an epithet.

6?? You learnt the wrong lesson at school. The right lesson was to keep practicing.

The war is escalating. The United States will soon regret that it unleashed this conflict.

Expand full comment

Many of us already regret it.

zionists have neither regrets nor shame

But they can feel pain!

Everyone needs to call/email their representatives in Congress and President Blinken/Sullivan and say you want to end the Ukraine War, stop the genocide and engage with China- not plan for war.

Drone warfare seems confusing for the uninitiated. Apparently the Global Hawk costs a hundred million dollars and was shot down by a MiG 31 fighter.

Not much follow up, possibly false. Anyway, regardless of how much $$$ Lockheed screwed the US taxpayer to build it, a UAV would not count as proportional retaliation for a multiple terror strike in civilians, as happened in the past day. The people paying the price would, I'm guessing, be US servicemen in bases in other theaters when things heat up there.

If and to the extent true, it's about time.

There will be no retaliatory strike yet. But I promise to write here in the comments when I arrive at my dacha in a small village 450 kilometers from Moscow. Then the time will come for everyone to leave the big cities.

One hour later, I have zero updates from any of my sources. Would you be able to share more?

Nor do I. On the other hand, there are significant disincentives for either the US or Russia to confirm the story, so we may have to wait and see. Personally I think it did not happen.

LOL, of course ! You would never confirm or deny anything that wasn't spoon fed to you by your intelligence source.

I just checked that drone on Wiki... 😅

It's a clear proofs that on 9/11/01 a remotely-piloted aircraft could have been easily used to launch itself against the Towers or Pentagon! So... As for October 7th and Israel, Nazis need a reason to feed brainwashed to make a war or commit a genocide.

Americans are the lowest brain users of the West, believing in a terrorist attack by a bunch of fake saudis. According to Statista 1 out of 4 Americans believe was an inside job, but despite that they didn't take down their Administration or burned US flags in the squares.

Or if you like the way around, 3 out of 4 Americans are Nazi.

You choose! 😉

I am stunned; you must have high confidence to publish if unconfirmed! It has been a long time in the making...the cat's paw is after all part of the cat and the cat has finally been spanked.

As I pointed out the story is unconfirmed. I don't have high confidence it is correct, but the target is the most tempting for Russia for sure.

Though FighterBomber is a "reliable" guy, he seems to have jumped the shark on this one. Nebenzya (Ru UN Ambassador) lodged protest and requested hearing with UN today..to be scheduled for July...seemingly following a legal response trajectory rather than kinetic.

Another story is that the Global Hawk's transponder failed and it disappeared from tracking, leading to the conclusion it was shot down. As I have emphasized, if there was an incident it remains unconfirmed.

Expand full comment

Those drones have switched their transponders off and on numerous times in that theater of operations ...as did this one apparently.

although this time officially they are claiming a malfunctioning transponder.

Adding another layer of intrigue is Fighterbomber video interview where he suggests "high speed near miss accident" involving Mi-31 which "disrupted flight" which is consistent with another report tracking flight that stated abrupt loss in altitude, loss of transponder signal, and change of direction back toward base!

Expand full comment

Stephen why would you report this without even confirming it.

What even are these sources? Random tweets? You could’ve gone on a flight tracker and at least tried to get corroborating info.

You just lied to your audience; you should either change the title of the article or take it down. Silly.

I assume you can read. The story was reported by milbloggers on Telegram and X. I made that clear and said it was not confirmed. I did not lie to anyone and I deeply resent your mischaracterization of what I wrote. Nothing silly about it and we still don't know what may or may not have happened. We do know that our Defense Secretary called his counterpart in Russia after the alleged incident, the first call in more than a year. My guess is that it had to do with the Black Sea situation.

Flight tracker confirmed loss of transponder and sudden change in plane's disposition (loss of altitude) and change of direction back towards base according to what I read...maybe on WarNews24/7? (Use google translate which appears on page for Greek to English)

It would not surprise me if both sides deny a drone was shot down given the possibility of war hysteria breaking out. Or that the pressure to escalate would be to great

Expand full comment

My idea was to get a 100 Houthis or Hezbollah fighters and put them on small boats in the Black Sea with air defense and have them a go at it. If NATO wants to play games, so can Russia.

Expand full comment

At some point Russia may think it can hit a nato country, just fire a missile into an empty field in Latvia. Kill no one but test article 5. They may miscalculate but WE don’t want them to…
